Born in Lebanon of Armenian descent, Ara Malikian received a classical education, yet his approach to music led him to blur the boundaries of musical genres, exploring styles such as jazz, gypsy and flamenco. What initially made him feel like a “strange guest” he has since transformed into his greatest strength, becoming one of the most eclectic musicians in the world.

This performance represents the culmination of that journey, inviting us to reflect on our place in the world and to build bridges between different societies. A sonic plea, voiced through the powerful language of a violin, proclaiming its message in the most universal language of all: music.
