Altea ESMUviment

A Series of Dance Workshops at Palau Altea

Altea ESMUviment is a space for connection, play and movement. One Saturday each month, the Mirador at Palau Altea becomes a place to explore dance as a form of expression, connection and body awareness.

Through this initiative, we aim to make dance accessible to everyone, regardless of age or previous experience, while transforming Palau Altea into a space for creativity in motion.

Duration: 1 hour
Frequency: One Saturday per month, from November to April.
Location: Mirador Hall, Palau Altea

This project is carried out in collaboration with ESMUAltea, a leading institution in arts education in the Marina Baixa region.

  • Who Is It For?

    For anyone interested in discovering more about the world of dance and movement and the many benefits they offer, regardless of age or physical ability.

  • What to Expect in Each Session?

    We invite you to embark on a monthly journey through shared movement, exploring different forms of expression through the body.

    - Body awareness and the exploration of its movement possibilities.

    - Movement exploration through improvisation, guided by themes inspired by each season.

    - Creation of a movement piece that brings together and reflects the concepts explored throughout the session.

    Each season, ALTEA ESMUviment will revolve around different themes inspired by the surroundings and identity of Altea:

  • A Project with a Community Focus

    We pretend to:

    • Strengthen Altea’s social fabric by creating spaces for intergenerational connection and expression.
    • Enhance the presence of dance in the local cultural life.
    • Turn the Palau into a true laboratory of movement-based creation, accessible and participatory.
