Altea ESMUviment

A Series of Family Dance Workshops at Palau Altea

ALTEA ÉSMUviment is a space for connection, play and movement open to the entire Altea community. Once a month, on Saturdays, the Mirador Hall at Palau Altea transforms into a place where families of all ages can explore dance as a form of expression, connection and creativity

With this initiative, we aim to bring dance closer to everyone, regardless of age or previous experience; turning the Palau into a center of creativity in motion.

Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Frequency: One Saturday per month, from October to July
Location: Mirador Hall, Palau Altea
Recommended age: From 4 years and up

Pre-registration required (more information coming soon)

This project is carried out in collaboration with EsMuAltea, a leading institution in arts education in the Marina Baixa region.

  • Who Is It For?

The series is designed for people of all ages, with participation recommended from age 4, a stage when movement exploration becomes more conscious.

No prior dance experience is required. Just the desire to move, share and enjoy

  • What to Expect in Each Session?

We invite you on a monthly journey through shared movement, exploring different ways of expressing yourself through the body.

Each workshop follows a structure designed to encourage participation:

    • Welcome and body warm-up
    • Introduction to the day’s theme
    • Free exploration
    • Collective creation
    • Shared closing
  • Themes That Connect with Altea

Each season, ALTEA ÉSMUviment will revolve around different themes inspired by the surroundings and identity of Altea:

    • Nature in Motion
    • Tradition and Folklore
    • Dance and Visual Arts
    • Future in Motion
  • A Project with a Community Focus

    We pretend to:

    • Strengthen Altea’s social fabric by creating spaces for intergenerational connection and expression.
    • Enhance the presence of dance in the local cultural life.
    • Turn the Palau into a true laboratory of movement-based creation, accessible and participatory.
  • Stay Up to Date
