Description

Blending fantasy, adventure, humour and symbolism. The story follows Prince Tamino and the bird catcher Papageno as they embark on a journey filled with trials to rescue Pamina and attain wisdom, guided by the power of a magical flute.

This Opera 2001 production, designed by Alfredo Troisi, transports the story to a visually stunning universe freely inspired by the Stargate series, where Ancient Egypt meets science fiction. Through a magical portal, the characters travel across different eras and fantastical worlds populated by prehistoric creatures, medieval figures, baroque influences and beings from an imagined future.

A spectacular production for audiences of all ages that enhances the magical and universal spirit of Mozart's final masterpiece.
